This is the final product without the thick string replaced. We tried to use mikans as weights but they were too light.
Instead of mikans we used coins as weights. This was more accurate and could fit in the cans. Our output weight is 600 grams and our input is 350 grams.
The top stick is made of bamboo. We were planning to use it as the top of the machine, which would hold up the pulley, but it proved to be incompetent as it was too weak. Instead we cut the side bar smaller and used the remainder of the wood for the top of the machine. The bottom piece of wood is the lever. We cut it off the base of the machine so we wouldn't waste wood.
